Be brave don't just look at your 'normal type'. Write a template email and do bulk emails once a week to anyone who looks interesting; and remember that looks fade as my mother told me! It really is almost a numbers game. I met my husband 4 years ago via the internet and I can honestly say that if we'd met in a pub etc I wouldn't have looked twice at him, but because he made the effort to send me an email and we got chating on the phone we now have a happy marriage.
