By realising that you aren't alone. Pretty much everyone has felt self-conscious at one time or another and for a lot of people it happens a lot of the time.
Also, think of it as a mechanism to keep you on top of your game so to speak. People who are too unselfconscious tend to be a bit too relaxed when they should be making an effort and it shows. By using your self-consciousness as a tool, it will become less of a burden to you and more of a plus.
If its a presentation you are doing then rehearse because then you will go in with some idea of what you are doing! also take deep breaths and just go for it. remember - a smile fools everyone into thinking you're confident.
Remember you are a fantastic powerful woman and you have every right to be standing where you do. Don't worry about what others think of you and be proud to be yourself.
