1)Prep lid with eye primer (to keep shadow from smudging). 2) Apply eyeliner 3) Blend color in along bottom lashes 4)Apply a light base color to lids (it's essential to pair a light base color with a darker color). 5) blend in dark color at lashline and blend in moving up but not past eye crease.
You need:
black eyeliner
black mascara
powder eyeshadow in three colors (I use pale and medium silver, black. Metallics are best.)
creme eyeshadow
-Curl your lashes.
-Apply creme shadow to your lid, stopping before you get to the crease. Dab a little under the center of your bottom lashes.
-Apply the medium shadow on top of the creme. Brush it into the crease and onto the underside of the browbone. Blend edge with your finger.
-Line your top lashline with eyeliner--both above and below the lashes.
-Smudge black shadow into the liner and blend up into the medium shadow. Line bottom lashes with black shadow, extending the line up a little on the outside corner. Soften edges with your finger.
-Dab a very small amount of pale shadow in a v around the inside corner of your eye.
-Finish with lots of mascara, both top and bottom lashes.
Put Black eyeliner under and above your eyes. Put as much around the eyes as you can.
Take a Q-Tip and smudge the eyeliner to make it look more dramatic and thick. This way you don't have to use your fingers.
Add a dark eyeshadow with sparkle in it!
and Put on a lengthening mascara, and your eyes will look like a movie stars.
I swear by Urban Decay eye shadow. I use the darkest color I can find for the shadow and I use eyeliner and a really great reliable mascara. First I start with the eyeliner. I usually just use it below the eye, but you can also use it above the eye. Next apply a small amount of almost black eye shadow. At first test a small portion on your eye so you won't look like a racoon. Then add a little bit of mascara and you are good for a night on the town!
Hope this helps!!
its hard to say without seeing your eye shape but what i do is, have one slick of black eyeliner on the top, and underneath. use a eyeshadow brush and only using the tip dap it in dark GREY and brush it side to side on the bottom and top lid of your eye. then add a hint of black eyeshadow on the corners.
You could buy this really good eyeliner, it's Maybelline Define-a-line. Its got a smudger and a shaper on the other end of it. Trust me, it works wonders!
