When you receive a gift you don't want, and you want to save it to give to someone else, remember to stick a post it on it to say who it was from so you don't end up giving it back to them! I admit this is a bit cheapskate!

How to recycle gifts

Put it on freecycle.org. Its a great website and you can offer things that you no longer want or need and someone will come and pick them up. You can also post messsages asking for things and people will email you to tell you if they have them. Great website. You can get addicted to it though. LOL

I sort my unwanted gifts into catagories, ones that I can give to other people as presents, ones to go to the charity shop so that they can raise funds. I never keep unwanted gifts more than a year so I can remember who it came from. I also usually know right away who is going to receive it.

I deal with gifts in different ways, Pass them to friends if I think it is of use to them (not regifting). frecycle or the local charity shop.

don't open them if you dont need them or want them. the next time your at a friends' birthday etc give it to them. or better yet, save them till christmas and donate them in a bulk to the nearest homelesss shelter.
