Skip the conditioner in the shower. Instead, put a tiny amount of conditioner (maybe the size of your pinky nail or so) in your palm along with a dollop of your regular hair gel, mousse, etc. and rub your palms together. Run your fingers through your hair and style as usual.
Put about a tablespoon of Olive Oil on the hair and leave on under a shower cap as long as possible. Wash out well with gentle baby shampoo and then follow the tips above about blasting with cold water and brushing.
Olive oil is a great conditioner, but it can be improved by adding rosemary oil, for shine and strength, lavender oil to comfort dry scalps and patchouli oil for scent and shine. If you keep a bottle of this made up and apply it to dry hair whenever you can, leaving it on for as long as poss your hair will thank you again and again. Extra tip, apply shampoo before water to remove and pour a jug of water with a generous splash of vinegar over as a final rinse.
Buy a conditioning treatment, appy to hair following instructions then wrap an old plastic carrier bag around your head to create heat. Tie ends. This makes the conditioner 'sink in' - I use an ASDA bag but am told that a Harrods bag looks better!!
I rub warm (NOT hot) olive oil into the ends and sometimes on my scalp and leave it on for 5 minutes or more before I wash my hair. I also rub 100% aloe vera gel into my hair to set it when I pull it back into a braid or pony tail to run errands. Once the aloe vera gel dries you can sleep in it and won't get on your pillows or sheets.
i always throw my shampoo and conditioner bottles in the bath while running lids closed of course. i find this not only prevents the shock of cold shampoo on the barnet but also provides a double deep warm treatment every time.xx
Mash up an avocado... apply. Hang out for about 15 minutes. You can also apply to your face and hands or anywhere you need moisture. Rinse, shampoo... you probably won't need to condition. Avocados are also amazing when eaten. After a couple of weeks adding them to meals you'll notice nicer skin & hair, i swear!
Before You Get Out Of The Shower Blast Yourself With Cold Water, As This Makes Hair Shinier. Also When Towel Drying, Try To Dry It Downwards And Not Just Scrub The Hair. If You Suffer From Bad Tangles In Your Hair After, Brush It In The Shower And Then Wash Out The Conditioner. This Should Help :)
if you dont have time to apply a seperate mask when you have washed your hair in teh shower, apply condditioner or hair treatment then point the shower head down away from you so your not getting wet, while to wash your body, this stops the conditioner getting washed out and gives it time to absorb, if only a few minutes, works for my long, blonde hair.
Use Wonder Oil, (a product which contains a mixture made of different kinds of vitamins, herbs and oils such as walnut oil, avacado oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, olive oil etc. and is chemical free) and mix it with liquide E vitamin manufactured especially for hair and skin (not the kind that you'd add to your salad). Then apply it to your scalp messaging in circular motions letting your scalp to absorb it thoroughly. Then apply Wonder Oil alone to the rest of your hair and concentrating on the ends, without mixing with liquide E vitamin. Cover it with cling film, leave it for 1-2 hours. You can fill your bath tub and relax, while your hair is getting the treatment it deserves. After you are finished, wash your hair as you usually would. Both products are available in most Holland & Barrett shops.
