Pureology is great for colored hair or natural hair. Very gentle, vegan, not tested on animals. Hydrate uses peppermint oil that makes the scalp tingle and feel energized. The scents are oh so luxe. Love it!
Read the ingredient listing. If "sodium lauryl sulfate" or "ammonium lauryl sulfate" is listed, put it back. These will strip your color. You'd be amazed at how many "shampoos for color treated hair" include these ingredients!
If you colour your hair pick a shampoo from a reputable company, preferably one that makes tints and dyes. What you need is an acid shampoo (although they’ll never say that as it doesn’t sound very nice) as hair dyes are very alkaline. So look for one that says PH 5.6 or something.
I usually use V05 for coloured hair and that seems to be quite a good shampoo and conditioner combination. However, I have just used a bottle of the new Head & Shoulders for coloured hair, thats been a good one too, it leaves your hair so soft. Am currently trying Timotei as its on special offer!! Will probably return to V05 or H&S though afterwards.
Redken is really good, top of the range cost wise but since its so concentrated you use just a very little, it can work out price wise in the long run. Ive been using it for years and recommend it
