Put some water in bottles in the fridge, if you measure out your 'daily requirement' you can sip or swig as the day goes by and monitor how much you are drinking. Keep the bottles small so that you do not become overfaced by the prospect of getting through large bottles. Put a bit of juice in for a bit of flavour if necessary.
have you tried just warm water? i cant drink cold water but love lukewarm water, i try to finish the kettle off when it needs refilling too, also you can add squash
You can drink tea (hot or iced tea), juices and eat fruit (oranges, melon, etc.). Your body can the water it needs from anything, even from the food you eat.
But if you really want to drink more pure water, you could do some exercise. This will make you feel more thirsty and drinking water then will taste really good.
Let's try this schedule...
after wake up: WATER!!!
after breakfast: WATER!!!
11:00 : WATER!!!
after lunch: WATER!!!
15:00 : WATER!!!
before bathing: WATER!!!
after dinner:WATER!!!
AND ALSO: FRUITS and SOUPS!!!!!!
Do you have a water bottle that you can keep with you all the time? Do you have lemons or something to flavor it to make it easier? I don't recommend doing the instant tea mixes because tea is a diuretic (dehydrates you) so if you do, you'll need to drink even more water to make up for it. Just slowly work yourself up so you're not going from 1 glass a day to a ton.
Buy one of those 2 litre water dispensers from Argos (around £7) fill it every day and keep it on your desk along with a couple of funky drinking glasses.
Although it sounds odd, I find that I always drink more water if I have a larger bottle to begin with.
If I'm carrying round a normal 500ml bottle with me I rarely finish it. However, if I have a larger bottle, like a 1.5litre one, and carry it round with me all day, I'll consciously make an effort to drink more and try to finish it.
If you want to make it more interesting then squeeze some lemon into it although this will mould the bottle after a while.
