Me again!!
Well girls i think i finally know what the problem is with pimples/spots on buttocks...Folliculitis. I've done a lot of research and its extremely uncommon to get acne on buttocks - it appears its an infection of the hair follicles causing pimples - as although there may not be aa lot of hair there is very fine hair like on your face.
From extensive research it appears exfoliation is the key followed by antibacterial creams. I have suffered with this for years and its extremely embarrasing...especially in those potentially intimate moments... I'm currently trying bactroban - which again can only be used for 7 days - also trying to keep area as dry as possible and washing with antibacterial soap when in shower. I've also ordered tetrasil off the internet - and have made an appointement with my derm - i'll keep you updated!
Use hydro cortizone cream after you get out of the shower. (Once your backside is clean and dry.)
This should take care of the problem.
You can also use baby powder with corn starch on a clean dry backside.
I do the hydro cortizone cream, works best when you are wearing some big granny panties!
I used Tetrasil for my Folliculitis on my butt too - was a bi sceptical as its on a scam website but id already paid and ordered.
Ive been using it for two days and its completely cleared my butt - i feel like a new woman! Definately reccommend this product - must say my folliculitis consisted of a few spots and a bit of a rash - mainly superficial, not sure how it would work for people with bigger symptoms. Good Luck Ladies!
2 solutions:
1 - The company LUSH makes a product called "Buffy."
The best one is called Buffy the Backside Slayer (yes, funny named.) I did not believe it would work - it is a bar of wax type oil w/ hard bits of organic stuff. Use it in the shower - it is unbelievable and leave you with a totally smooth bum!! Availaible online and in LUSH retail stores.

2 - Proactive body wash - availiable at http://usa.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb/2127?expand=Skincare
Try using a nice creamy shower gel with one of those body polishers/body scrubber things (you know, the ones that look like little nets stuck together) or use a soft-ish loofah hand mitt. I use a body polisher thing on my legs and they are really smooth as a result.
Body scrub or wash with sulfur in it works wonders! Agree about keeping conditioner off back. Rinse VERY well. Use clean towel each time, and when you launder the towels, use hot water and a fragrance free detergent, no fabric softener. After the shower or bath, try applying a sulfur (Azufre) pomade.
I do all of the following and it really has made a difference:
Do not wear trousers / skirts / underwear made from manmade fabrics. Go for pure cotton.
When you get home from work, change into a loose pair of cotton trousers.
Always sleep on pure cotton bedding.
If you sit down at work all day, always sit on a large piece of cotton fleece folded many times to soften your seat. Sitting on a hard seat always makes the problem far worse.
Apply talc with corn starch.
You can occasionally use hydro-cortisone cream.
A bit high maintenance I know, but it really is worth it!
wash with antibacterial soap and an exfoliator glove every morning and evening (i use dettol soap). Then use drycol roll on (to stop sweating).
Also i find double base moisturiser excellent - this can be at same time as all above.
And air the area as often as poss
i agree with using anti-bacterial soap, an excellent idea, it's also good for preparing skin for hair removal. i had the same problem, and now i swear by witch hazel in liquid form. apply it to your bum after showering and it should clear the spots right up.
JustMe again... well i tried Bactroban which is not good. My derm gave me a culture swab and it came back as non bacterial. He said he couldn't suggest anything further for me. I was so upset as ive had these spots for years. I should add that Tetrasil was really poor and did not work at all - what a rip off too. But i finally found the solution, which works for me (fingers crossed-so far anyway) Dairy free. I have started using soya milk and cut out eggs and cheese - its ben two weeks and my butt is more or less completely clear for the first time ever.
Its got to be worth a shot.... Hope this helps
