To save money and adopt a "green" (ecologically friendly) lifestyle, use everyday products to wrap gifts. The comics section of the newspaper; tinfoil; shelf-liner paper or wallpaper; fabric remnants; all can be used. Get creative, be whimsical, and enjoy. Wrap small items for a mother-to-be in cloth diapers.

Buy a roll of butcher's (white) paper or brown paper (like lunch bags). Then just keep a stock of pretty ribbons (save them from gifts you receive too). It's simple but very pretty.

I always use gift bags & coloured tissue paper - it looks very impressive. I buy bags whenever I see them cheaply (for example, get your Christmas ones AFTER xmas in the sales for the following year). Loosely wrap the gift in coloured tissue paper (I use pretty stickers to seal them instead of tape), place in the gift bag & then scrunch a small piece of tissue paper up & place on top, so that it is just sticking out of the bag - it look great! I sometimes buy little bags of metallic confetti too (heart shapes, happy birthday ones, stars etc) & sprinkle some over the tissue paper. I also recycle bags that people have given me (but remember to put a sticky memo on the bag to tell you who got it for you, so you don't give it back to them!!!)
