I let my girls pick which bowl they would like I have a cute set with a pink, yellow, blue, and green bowl. I also set out tiny bowls (1 oz) with a bit of brown sugar they can add to their porridge.
The tip above about adding brown sugar is a good one. It makes all the difference, try it! Dread my Scottish in-laws finding out about my guilty secret!!!!!
There's a honey producer in Derbyshire (England) called Kiddy Hugs and they make the most delicious flavoured honey - chocolate, rose, ginger, peppermint etc etc. Try to find their web-site. I put a spoon of the flavoured honey over the porridge and stir it in - very yummy!!
Sorry, wrong location and name for flavoured honey as mentioned below - its Kid Hugs and they are based in Darlington, Co Durham (still in England). Amazing flavours - just be brave if you ever see them at food fairs!!
add honey, raisins, fruit, dried fruit...cinnamon is good in the mornings because it kick starts your metabolism! try cooking with soya milk/milk instead of water...
