Putting a wet piece of kitchen towel under a chopping board stops the board from sliding around your kitchen worktop

A wet teatowel works just as well

Place a silicone liner like a SilPLAT under the cutting board. You can also cut a piece of that padded rubberized shelf liner. I keep a specific one to just use with my cutting boards.

Put small blobs of 'blue-tac' underneath it to help with grip.
