Real Simple magazine (in the States, at least) just had an article about updos. A couple ideas were, (1)a low bun on the side of your head next to your ear; (2) pulling your hair into two pony tails (one on top of the other) at the back of your head and twisting the hair of one pony around the other pony to get an elongated bun; (3) a french twist; (4) a bun or a pony with the hair at the crown of your hair teased up a bit (this is cute with a headband)
