If your new school has clubs you could join, that would be a useful way of making good friends. They may have a school council, eco group, chess club, netball, football, etc.
Just be the person you want to be, don't try to be a different person than who you really are just to get friends. Even if it takes you longer, you'll end up with better friends.
Eat in the school canteen and ask a group of friendly looking people if its okay for you to sit next to them, introduce yourself and try joining in on their conversation. Try making small talk with the people you sit next to in lessons. And definately be yourself.
when i started a new school i approached people and people approached me as well, but i found that the ones that approached me i am still good friends with. so you should approached some people but if they don't make proper conversation with you after a bit then try to find other people to introduce your-self to.
dont do anything.at all. ive moved a hundred times and all you have to do is be you self(even if it is boring old you) and people will come along and get to know the "new girl". heck ive moved so much i practically started calling myself the new girl haha.
