Just try toning eveyrthing down a bit. Like using a brown eyeliner and mascara instead of black and using just a lipgloss instead of lipstick.

If you want something more edgy than anything you can wear to work then try going to a makeup counter in a big department store and asking them if they do makeovers. Mac are particularly cool.

Dark eyes are always good for a night out if thats what your wanting make up for. Loads of eyeliner, curl your eyelashes and apply loads of mascara and a great shimmery shadow with black shadow on the outside is a good look.
