Make sure you moisturise and exfoliate to get rid of your flaky skin. Aqueous cream is a brill moisturiser. Try using a good face mask once a week, deep cleansing ones are good. Also use sudocrem on your spots before you go to bed.
Gentle face wash should sort it out...try Nivea Visage, it works for me and I used to have that problem. Now my skin's really clear and isn't dry at all. It's the stuff for normal/combination skin and there's a moisturising fluid as well which is good.
i once had really bad skin on my chin when i was ill, it was either spotty and oily, or dry and flaky, and i found the best thing for the spot problem was a cleansing wash with tea tree in it,and for the dry and flakiness i used vasaline intensive mosturising cream and it was great. It mosturised as soon as i applied it and it absorbed into my skin quikly and left my skin soft and smooth.
good luck :)
