Knit! You can't eat whilst knitting - and messy fingers makes for messy yarn, so you can't even nibble and knit alternately. Even if all you're capable of is good old plain stitch, you can liberate all your friends' leftover wool and knit small squares which you can then stitch up into a lovely sofa blankie for cold nights or chilly mornings. If that's a bit ambitious, then small versions go down very well with your local Cats' Protection League. :-)
when the telly's rubbish all you feel like doing is eating right? well what i do is give myself a manicure-as you can't eat with wet nails! you'll stay slim and get gorge nails! even if your rubbish at nails it doesn't matter! good luck.
Just limit yourself each night. Eat half of what you usually do each time until you aren`t eating anymore. Water may not be the most fun but it fills your stomach so drink alot!!
Try drinking water with lemon, its filling and keeps you away from snacks. You can add a little honey, also ginger tea works because you feel as if you are snacking because of ginger's strong taste.
Also, stay busy, get on the internet and read top tips for girls or go to some other sites where you can look at fashion or learn something new.
Basically, find something else to do! Do a crossword, rearrange your CD collection, read a book, go for a walk, tidy the shed, give yourself a facial...remember that eating only takes a few minutes so are you REALLY SURE you can't find something else to do with your time? Once you get out of the habit of eating every night you will soon "forget" it and automatically food will not be on your mind. Remember though it can take up to three weeks for you to unlearn the habit so stick with it and don't expect results overnight!
Everytime your "boredom hungry" which i always am, you should drink a pint of water and a few ice cubes if you are still hungry have a piece of fruit if your still hungry then mabey its real hunger... remember your supposed to eat a small snack every 2 hours so dont feel too guilty about snacking after all you only live once
You can't deniy hunger. so if ur trying to lose weight or don't want your tummy to be full,of fatty things etc. either have a hot glass of semi skimmed milk or a pint of water each with a piece of fruit e.g apple,carrot,orange and grapes there the best ones for you..but while making that your taking up time so maybe go watch a movie with it or read a mag or listen to music or just go back to the telly you might be more interested now that your not thinking of food,,that's proberly why your bored in the first place..X
Have a hot bedtime drink, like horlicks, but buy the ones that you make with hot water instead of hot milk. I mix a little milk in with mine anyway, like a cup of tea, it makes it a little more luxurious. You can buy lighter options of most hot bedtime drinks these days too.
