Nivea Soft creme works really well on dry dry lips. I used it when I was ski-ing in Italy and it worked better than lip balm.

How to treat dry lips

Apply a lot of vaseline, or elizabeth arden 8 hour cream to your lips, then take a dry, clean tooth brush and brush the excess cream off of your lips. It should leave you with smooth lips!

I discovered this by accident one day... but I was surprised at how amazingly well it works: In order for this to work, you'll need Listerine WHITENING Pre-Brush Rinse (the white bottle). There's something about this particular kind of listerine that makes this work. Other kinds won't work for this. Put a small amount (teaspoon or two) in your mouth, and then bring in your lips (like an old lady without densures). Let the listerine work on your lips for a minute. Spit it out while rubbing your lips together. Then take a cloth or tissue and while smiling, whipe the lips. Then repeat the listerine treatment once more. Afterwords, apply lip balm. It's amazing. It does not turn the lips white. Listerine Whitening may foam. It works, but do at own risk. It's been a great help for me.

If you have dry or small lips, avoid any strong colour and especially matt lipsticks. They will just draw attention to how thin your lips are, Instead mix in Blistex to your lipstick, it will give you a sheer colour as well as a lip treatment.

I also brush my lips with rather warm water when they're peeling -- it takes the rough skin off (and then I put lip balm on and try to fix the root of the problem -- I'm dehydrated, I went too long without lip balm, etc.).

Also, always apply lip balm before going to bed.

it might sound sore but use an old tooth brush and befor bed rub your lips with the brush, this takes off any dead skin beleive me if you do it softly it works and does not hurt then once that is done make sur you apply vaseline befor you sleep

I've recently discovered a lip balm called BalmBalm. Its amazing, its 100% organic so theres no petroleum in it and has made my lips so much softer than they used to be- i highly reccomend it!! x

This may sound strange but try not to use lip balm too often as it removes the natural layer on your lips that help keep them smooth. This is how your lips can become addicted to lip balms etc. start your 'lip detox' by gently brushing wet lips with a soft tooth brush and apply a non perfumed lip balm. Drink lots of water and try to cut down on how much you use the lip balm. It works...I promise!

Brush your lips every week to remove dead skin and keep the colour even. Apply vaseline after brushing and make sure you have Carmex with you during the day if they feel a litttle dry. It works wonders!

absolutely always ALWAYS have some type of lip moisturizer with you, and at night, always put a lot of vaseline on.

buy some lip buffer from bath and body works called 'c.o.bigelow mentha lip buffer' which gets rid of flakes or exfoliate with a tooth brush. then apply your fave moisturising lip balm

I HAVE DRY LIPS. BUT I'VE HEARD THAT WHEN YOU EAT RIGHT IT TENDS TO EASE. TRY TO USE A LIP BALM THAT AGREES WITH YOU. I CAN'T REALLY RECCOMEND ONE BECAUSE AS MOST PEOPLE SAY NOT EVERY PRODUCT AGREES WITH EVERY PERSON. ALSO- DRINK LOTS OF WATER.

I always use Elizabeth Ardens Eight Hour Cream every morning and night and carry the Clear Lipstick version in my handbag and apply when needed...it brings INSTANT relief. I find gels and balms more moisturising than lipsalve sticks, their just too waxy and dont actually moisturise very well...Also keep your lips well exfoliated and make sure you get into the habit of always putting some balm/gel/cream on your lips. Also avoid long wearing lipsticks...they are usually just to drying and dont go near anything like Lipcote or anything that claims to fix your lipstick in place. Good Luck!
