Fill you're mouth half way with water, or a liquid (Obviously not alcohol because thats dangerous!)
Then hang you're head forward, as if you are bending down to pick something up, without bending the knee's.
The pill floats to the back of you're throat, as the water comes to the front of you're mouth. Then swallow.
Hope that helps. ^.^
If the pills are big then cut them into halves etc. Then put each bit into your mouth separately and push it to the back of your tongue. Drink some water and try to swallow normally. If you find it hard to swallow something so strange in your mouth try and imagine it's a skittle or sweet.
It helps to swallow a mouthful of water FIRST: this seems to lubricate the throat and "programme" your mind into "swallow" mode before you put the pill in your mouth.
Get the pill and place it as far back on your tongue as you can. This will help you not to taste it.
Get some water and with your head tilted slightly backwards gulp hard!
or u can just buy the long oval shaped tablets - the easy swallow ones
or if u dont like them you can buy the capsules - which are fantastic because they are really smooth.
also tip your head back slightly - this will help your tablet to go down straight away when you swallow
good luck! hope it helps =]
put the pill in an almost chewed mouthful of food and swallow quickly. sounds horrible but does work. a good food to use this with is a banana. be careful not to chew the tablet though
Almost everyone I know tilts their head back to take pills. This actually kinks your windpipe which is the cause of pills 'getting stuck' and not going straight down as they should.
Just keep yopur head looking forwards as per normal and take your pills with a sip of water.
If you avoid tilting ylour head back, they should go down without any problems.
Hope this helps !

just pretend its a candy or something... if you know its a pill it will freak you out, but if you picture it as something yummy, you wont care! it works!!
I find that milk helps as it lubricates better than water. I would also say that some tablets should not be crushed/crunched or broken as this may affect their absorption in the body. I would check with the pharmacist before you do break any tablets up.
Hi, my first post.
My daughter has terrible trouble swallowing pills but she finds if she has a big gulp of fizzy to help it down it works every time. The pill seems to get lost in the bubbles!
