This is a hormonal problem. Very likely taking the pill will deal with it. Either way, ask your doctor; you should not have to suffer this. In the worst scenario, you can be sure that after the menopause you will have no further problems of this sort!

I always suffered terribly with the same problem untill I took max. dose evening primrose tabs. It took about 3 months for them to kick in but after that I was virtually pain free.
