This is why I have for years tried to get the home kits banned.
I have spent years in the field of corrective color and when in room of colourists they all call home hair colouring kits , "job security" i never found that funny.
I thought it was terrible. I want to put together a detailed explanation of how using home hair colouring kits work so I can get you all to understand why they don't work except for 15% of the population.
Most people's hair does not have the strength and resiliency to stand up to the wretched treatment of using cheap shampoos to lighten the colour.
A shampoo with SLS or Sodium Laurel Sulfate will lighten the hair colour...don't use anything else or you will risk the integrity of your hair. Shampoo once in the morning and once at night....bad shampoo fades hair colour.
