If you're having fireworks at home, even sparklers, have a bucket of water on hand in case of burns. For sparklers and other smaller fireworks, have a bucket of sand at the ready to dispose of them safely. Don't be lazy and not wear gloves - sparkles are dangerous, despite what people think, statistically more children than adults are hurt each year. Be safe and have fun.
