I self tan, I exfoilate 3 times a week, but the tan doesn't come off areas such as my feet/thighs/neck as easy as face, chest etc. When I put another layer on, I look patchy, what should I do?

Try applying lemon juice to the darker areas to lighten them. Or if the smell and stickiness of that is offputting try applying toner that contains AHAs to a cotton wool pad and dabbing the areas. The right toner will lift the colour in a similar fashion to how nail varnish remover works.

use a flannel to scrub it off! i know what u mean certain places of your body the tan kind of sticks to more i notice it on my neck like in the middle and the sides of my feet sometimes i have to srub a few times then use a flannel, just dont put any more tan on until you've removed all the old layer. But annoying i know if your in a rush or just cant be bothered lol but its better than..as u said it going patchy :) x

Ok, I've been really selfish with this discovery, but it' nice having smooth skin and everybody asking you why! Lol!
I bought exfoliating gloves, you put them on in the shower, and soap them up, and use them to wash yourself instead of a sponge or a flannel - so you're exfoliating every day. They're gentle enough to use on your face, and I used to have a problem with blocked pores and spot breakouts, which have cleared up as well.
The best part is, these gloves are available in most pharmacies, and cost only £1 GBP. Better than taking extra time exfoliating; no extra time needed! And they help with my fake tan, which always goes on evenly, because I'm exfoliating every day.

If the lemon juice doesn't work, try nail polish remover.
